Information System Development. Improving Enterprise Communication

The 22nd International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD2013) will be hosted by Escuela Técnica de Ingeniería Informática, University of Seville, Spain.

The evolution of information system development was clearly important in the last years. Research groups and universities have worked in proposing new methods, techniques and tools to improve the development of information systems. However, most of these new advantages are not applied in the enterprise environment where the necessity of suitable solutions is every day more necessary. Although a big improvement was incorporate in this context in the last years, there is an important gap in the transference of knowledge in this area from the university to the company. In enterprise architect, information system development continues being too artisanal and most of suitable solutions offering from the academicals community are not applied.

ISD2013 is oriented to present ideas, works and tools that help to the real improvement of information system development in companies, enriching them with research results. Thus, the main objective of the conference is getting new effective ideas for bringing the gap between academia and industry in the context of ISD.
