The 25rd International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD2016) will be hosted by the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland.

The ISD2016 Conference theme: Complexity in Information Systems Development

Complexity in information system development is manifested by projects and research works focusing on technological issues as well as on social, organizational and economic issues. Researchers are invited to present a wide spectrum of attitudes ranging from methodological and educational challenges to original scientific solutions. The theme of the 25th ISD Conference includes considerations of context, creativity and cognition in information systems development field which enable information systems to be examined as they are actually developed, implemented and used. Context-aware computing refers to the ability of computing devices to detect and sense, interpret and respond to, aspects of a user’s local environment and the computing devices themselves. The considerations of context are important for mobile applications development. Cognition and creativity are also present in an organisation’s development efforts, in the identification of new markets and technologies, and in their ICT projects. Context, creativity and cognition have different interpretations in social and technical sciences, which encourages inter-, cross-, multi- and intradisciplinary research.

The ISD2016 conference will be organised around a number of new and well established tracks. See the descirption of the Conference Tracks for more information.

Submission of Papers:

ISD2016 is soliciting original, unpublished completed research papers and research-in-progress papers. All papers must be in English and submitted via the EasyChair conference management system. For details about paper formatting see the Submission Details. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
To enable more publication opportunities, each paper should normally not be written by more than 4 authors.

Publication of Papers:

Accepted papers will be published in the ISD Proceedings which will appear in the Association for Information Systems (AIS) eLibrary. In addition, a selection of the best papers (by invitation) will be published Springer as a separate volume of the Lecture Notes in Information Systems and Organization series (indexed by Scopus; subject to final approval).
